Rain on our Parade

It's July 5th in Hurst, TX, but you wouldn't know it by the green grass and trees outside. Usually everything is burnt to a crisp by now in Texas, but not this year! See, we brought this rain down with us from Beantown when we moved. The Lord knew we needed an easy transition into Texas summers. :) They have been breaking records left and right with all this rain. It's the most consecutive rainfall that North Texas has seen in a LONG time. Even as I write, it is raining...no, it's pouring outside. Has anyone seen "Evan Almighty" yet? I think I'll go this week to get some pointers on how to build an arc - just in case. If the sun ever does come out this summer, this is where we will be spending our time:

This is the waterpark near our house. It's basically a playground island with water shooting out everywhere. That's where the little kids hang out. The water slides are obviously for the bigger kids. Our nephew Dylan loves the water slides. Wesley has a ball in the water. There was a break in the rain last week so we had a picnic there with our friends Shannon and Camden.
